Analysis, part 5b - Button Spacing (Ladies)

On the ladies' ENT undershirts, the buttons were positioned more closely together.

On the above two Hoshi ENT undershirt examples, her buttons were spaced approximately 1 ½" apart from center button to center button (or 1" from the bottom of one button to the top of the next one).

Captain Hernandez' ENT undershirt (er, COL undershirt?) buttons appear to have been similarly positioned.

It's tough to say for sure, since the top of her undershirt was unbuttoned, but this lady's buttons also appear to have been positioned slightly closer - perhaps 1" apart.

ENT, 2x3 "Minefield"

Also, it's worth noting that Hoshi had at least one ENT undershirt with buttons positioned slightly farther apart than usual - about 1 ¾".

ENT, 4x20 "Demons"

Again, it is our opinion that, given the evidence, 1 ½" from button center to button center (or 1" from the bottom of one button to the top of the next one) is a reasonably ideal standard for replica construction.
